Regional Manager Needed
Pogoda Companies is seeking a Regional Manager to fill an open position in the management division that focuses on self storage and manufactured housing properties. For the right candidate we will provide relocation assistance. Below are the qualifications and job description.
Education & Experience Required
- Bachelors degree preferably in business, accounting, or marketing
- Real estate sales license or be willing to get licensed within 6 months
- 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience
- Non smoker
Job Description
- Regional Manager position reporting to the Director of Operations
- P & L responsibility for 10 - 14 self storage or manufactured housing properties
- Ensure stores are achieving budget, higher income than prior year and so on
- Hire and train resident, non-resident and part-time managers
- Coach, counsel and discipline managers and assistant managers
- Spend 3-4 days per week traveling to and from stores in field
- Spend 1-2 days per week in main office in Farmington Hills, Michigan
- Be available, as needed. Some weekends and evenings
- Respond to emergency situations 24/7
- Operate stores in field periodically to audit manager and store operations
- Accompany store managers on marketing calls at least once every quarter
- Handle tenant complaints and problems that cannot be resolved by the mgr
- Identify and ensure completion of needed maintenance
- Obtain bids for routine maintenance
- Prepare annual operating budgets for review
- Various other duties

- Firm, no nonsense; able to make tough decisions
- Ability to multi-task
- Common sense
- Extremely organized
- Likes extensive traveling (within state - little, if any, overnight)
